Four months after wildfires ravaged Los Angeles, residents of areas destroyed by the Palisades and Eaton fires remain displaced as communities continue recovery. Mayor Karen Bass has piloted a fast-track permitting program, but reports indicate that only a few dozen rebuilding permits have been issued in the Palisades so far.
